End of an Era: The last Lamborghini Aventador.
Lamborghini has revealed the final iteration of their long-standing flagship supercar, the Aventador before putting the legendry supercar to rest forever, and the final iteration is named ‘Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae’.
The news of Lamborghini producing the final iteration of the Aventador is a blaring siren to let the automotive world know that an era has come to an end – An era where cars were powered solely on dead dinosaurs, and punching a hole through the ozone layer was never a concern among the people.
For a proper send-off, Lamborghini has thrown
everything in its arsenal to make it the best iteration of the Aventador to
date.
Starting with the engine, it is in its most
powerful form with 780PS of power and 720Nm of torque from its 6.5-litre naturally
breathing petrol engine. This brute of an engine is mated to an equally brutal
7-speed single-clutch transmission.
The engineers at Lamborghini have also kept an
eye on the weight of the Aventador Ultimae, with the beast weighing just 1,550
kilograms, which not only makes it 25kgs lighter than the Aventador S but it
also helps it retain a similar power-to-weight ratio as the track-focused Lamborghini
Aventador SVJ at 1.98kg/PS.
To up the visual stance and improve aerodynamics, the new Aventador Ultimae carries a very aggressive front bumper with an extended front splitter, and completing the overall aggressive stance is a large and aggressive rear diffuser and a freer-flowing exhaust system, both lifted straight from the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
To squeeze out even more performance from the car,
engineers at Lamborghini have fitted the new Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae with
state-of-the-art four-wheel steering and an active rear spoiler with three
different levels of attack.
As part of Lamborghini’s customisability, the Aventador Ultimae comes with a wide variety of 20-inch and 21-inch wheels for front and rear wheels, respectively.
On the inside, Lamborghini hasn’t deleted any
of the existing luxuries while trying to save weight. In fact, the interior is
packed with luxuries and other convenience enhancing features like a customisable
TFT digital driver display, a touchscreen infotainment system with both Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto, and it even comes with a voice command system.
As per Lamborghini, 350 coupes and 250 roadster
versions of the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae will be made.
Thoughts
The successor of Lamborghini Aventador will
make noise, it will make you tingle when you drive, it will be faster, but it
will it be as satisfying as this one?#
So, here
is what I have to say. If you are a purist and have the money to afford one,
just go ahead and buy it, because what you end up having with you will be a
physical embodiment of the past.
