The 428hp Nissan Patrol Nismo debuts in Middle East.

Nissan brings back the Nismo variant on the Nissan Patrol line-up. The new 2021 Nissan Patrol Nismo is a blend of old-school and modern engineering.

If you are a person who loves to grab attention, then this is the right SUV for you. For starters, the size- there are less than a handful of SUVs that can dwarf a Nissan Patrol Nismo, then there is the Nismo touches to the design with red accents, large 22-inch wheels, huge V-motion grille etc.

The interior is a large collection of touches that mimic the sporty nature of this SUV with typical splashes of red accents, red stitching, leather-wrapped steering wheel etc.

Powering this behemoth of an SUV is a 5.6L naturally aspirated V8 engine with 428hp and 560Nm of torque. The official performance numbers haven’t yet been released by Nissan, but it will surely be a straight-line Rocketship given that it produces 28hp more than the previous version.

Speaking of the engine, it is built by the same four engineers who build the Nissan GT-R engines. The power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan has also tweaked the suspension by using Bilstein components to further aid cornering and weight transfer during hard acceleration and deceleration.

Somehow, I feel like Nissan could have borrowed the drivetrain from the Nissan GT-R for completely over-the-top thoroughbred sensation.
