The all-new BMW i4.

BMW has recently unveiled the new BMW i4 and it is the result of BMW’s rapid action into developing new electric passenger vehicles. The new BMW i4 is squarely aimed at Tesla’s Model 3 buyers.

How others see.

The overall design justifies itself by staying close to the i-Vision Dynamics concept, which truly amplifies the intended low-slung look with broad shoulder lines and an emotional tail.

However, few things like splashes of blue lines, the unconventional grille, and tasteless-chunk alloy wheels make it look like a standard styling procedure of an electric car of the 2010s.

What you see.

The interior looks unlike any BMW, yet somehow feels very BMW like in nature. The interior of the BMW i4 feels like years ahead of other BMWs in looks.

Unlike other BMWs, the interior is more serene than sporty and cocooned. Like any other electric cars, the interior is dominated by two-screens mounted as a single unit on a slightly curved and hinged platform.

However, BMW has not let go of their rotary knob for controlling the i-drive system even after 20-years, since it was first introduced.

The source of noise.

The two-electric motors placed at each axle delivers a combined output of 530hp-To put it into perspective, the new BMW M4 Competition puts out 510hp. Delivering power to the pair of electric motors is an 80kWh battery which is capable of charging at 150kW, enabling the BMW i4 to charge to 80% of its capacity in just 35minutes.

The noise.

BMW claims 0-60mph time in under 4seconds, which seems slightly underrated but more than enough to shout and brag at a local pub. The new BMW i4 can also go as far as 300miles on a single full charge as per BMW.

When you can buy one.

BMW has not confirmed about the production date or the availability of the new BMW i4 for the Middle East. We are expecting BMW to launch the BMW i4 by the mid of 2022 in UAE and other GCC markets.
