The Lamborghini for absolute Madmen.

A couple of days back, we showed you a Lamborghini Huracan with over 1200hp-The Zyrus LP1200 Strada, I thought that is the most extreme Lamborghini Huracan available in the market, but I couldn’t be more wrong about that.

While browsing the website of Zyrus Engineering for more information on LP1200 Strada, I stumbled upon the Zyrus LP1200 R, and boy-o-boy it was like finding a treasure.

For starters, the LP1200 R is not based upon the road-going version of Lamborghini Huracan. The LP1200 R is based on the already thoroughbred Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo LP640-2, by which it is already a race car underneath with a rear-wheel-drive set-up.

Even though the LP1200 R uses the same engine as the LP1200 Strada, the LP1200R weighs only 1200kg-making it over 227kg lighter than the LP1200 Strada and 352kg lighter than the standard the Lamborghini Huracan.

Zyrus engineers didn’t stop the work there, they further made changes to the underbody to squeeze out every inch of available space which was made available due to the lack of complex all-wheel-drive system, resulting in 2142kg of downforce at 200kph compared to 2010kg of downforce produced by the LP1200 Strada at similar speeds.

The icing on the cake is the pedigree it carries, as it has campaigned a full race season in the Norwegian Extreme GT championship and won the overall title in September 2020.

Now, the cherry on top. At AED 2.34 Million apiece, it is significantly cheaper than the LP1200 Strada. For this price, you will get the same track day familiarisation package with pit-crew and engineers.
