Major update for Jaguar XF

Every automotive journalist would have fallen in love with some Jaguar cars, because they are not only brilliant to drive but also the journalists who drive them during shoots do not have to shell out their wallet if something breaks down.

Earlier Jaguars used to carry a bit of negative reputation in the reliability department, whereas the new ones are right up there with the best; thanks to more and more globalisation of technology and manufacturing processes, yet none of the Jaguars lost their charm or character.

This character is what makes them special and close to heart as if it has a soul and a beating heart.

In almost every comparison videos of the past two decades, you can see that the Jaguars have come short on every measurable parameter against its German rivals but they would have also put the biggest smile on the presenters face.

The new Jaguar XF has been here for almost 5 years and Jaguar has given their mid-size executive sedan a major revamp in terms of cosmetics both inside and out.

The design changes are however more evolutionary with slimmer headlights, new mesh grille with some new detailing, and new more aggressive air intakes.

The interior gets a huge 11.4-inch curved infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new full digital instrument cluster with better graphics. Sadly though, the pop-up rotary gear selector is replaced by a more conventional gear selector.

The new Jaguar receives no updates on the engine department, and it is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine that pumps out 250hp and a supercharged engine in two states of tune that pushes out 340hp and 380hp from a 6 cylinder 3.0L unit.

The updated version will be available for bookings from early 2021.
