2021 Mercedes-Maybach. How can Mercedes make “World’s best car” even better?
The new Mercedes Benz S-Class is one of the most luxurious, comfortable and tech laden car of this year and it was genuinely very hard for us journalist to even imagine how Mercedes Benz could improve from the base line(S-Class) to create the Maybach version.
The
earlier generation of Mercedes-Maybach was bit too “S-Class” to be called as
the Mercedes-Maybach, because at least to my eyes it was essentially an
extended version of the already extended Mercedes Benz S-Class.
Even
though the new Mercedes-Maybach is still based on Mercedes Benz S-Class, the
designers have done their every bit to make it look like a proper
Mercedes-Maybach rather than a stretched Mercedes Benz S-Class.
On
the inside, you will still know that this is based on an S-Class but the
graphics in drivers display and wood inlays are much posher looking.
The rear seats can now be reclined up to 44degrees for utmost comfort, the interior light can detect your movement via laser scanners and move accordingly, the ambient lighting can adjust itself to match outer lighting condition and many more techno wizardry keep you entertained.
Where
Mercedes-Maybach really scores one above the Mercedes Benz S-Class is the
“legs” department. The Mercedes-Maybach is 180cms longer than the longest
version of Mercedes Benz S-Class and has a massage function for your calves,
which is not offered in the Mercedes Benz S-Class.
Unlike
the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the engine range in Mercedes-Maybach starts with a
V8 configuration but if you like to go for the best, it should be the V12.
So,
we do know that the new Mercedes-Maybach will be better than Mercedes Benz
S-Class in every parameter but is it worth the lot of extra money? There isn’t
a simple answer, but I can make it simpler for you.
If
you already own a luxury Yacht, you should probably go ahead and buy the
Mercedes-Maybach, otherwise you should probably start saving some money for
that dream luxury Yacht of yours.
