2021 Skoda Eniyaq iV-Skoda’s first EV crossover

Despite being owned and funded by Volkswagen, Skoda is little late to debut its first electric crossover but what an amazing vehicle they have launched to charge-up the segment.

The most likable thing about Skoda Eniyaq iV is its design; the designers chose to go for a conventional design rather than trying to make it look like a car from the future.

The interior too looks like any other Skoda with neatly laid out dashboard. However, the interior is dominated by a huge 13-inch touch screen infotainment unit like any typical electric car but the driver's display screen is rather small 5-inch unit designed for quick glance at the information.

The Skoda Eniyaq iV comes with 5 powertrain options which can cater the needs of almost every customer. There are both RWD and AWD configuration available in various guises of power.

Skoda should have named their long range Eniyaq iV as “Mo Farah Edition '' as it can cover 510kms in a single charge, but it is available only as rear-wheel drive.

The Skoda Eniyaq iV can charge from 5% to 80% in just 30 mins; that is if you can plug it into a suitable fast charger with 125kW discharge. From a regular AC output, it can take up to 1/3rd of the day depending on the variant’s battery capacity.

The pre-orders for Skoda Eniyaq iV is open and deliveries will commence by early 2021.
